What is Pet Med Savings?
You may be wondering by now how YOU can access pet wellness benefits. Well, the most effective way is through comprehensive pet insurance. Some plans will come with wellness benefits included. Some plans will require that you pay for a wellness benefit as an add-on product.
At Oneplan, we call our wellness benefits Pet Med Savings.
Pet Med Savings are exclusive to our Hospital Plan (as an add on), Classic Plan and Super Plan. This benefit falls under your Day-to-Day Cover (routine care) and will cover routine costs that don’t fall under casualty cover.
Some of the important care that falls under our Pet Med Savings include:
- Voluntary Sterilisation
- Vaccinations
- Deworming
- Tick and flea control
- Anal gland expression
- Dental care (teeth scaling and polishing)
- Nail clipping
- Chronic medication
- Shortfalls and excesses that form part of the overall day to day annual limit
Pet Med Booster
Did you know there’s a way for you to get more Pet Med Savings than your plan already offers? This fantastic add-on is for pet parents who know how important and common routine care is, and they want their pets to be as covered as possible.
Let’s run through which plan covers what, and how you can add more Pet Med Savings to your plan for the price of your daily coffee run.
- The Classic Plan (R160pm) covers R1000 in casualty (Pawsualty for pets) per annum. However, for just R35pm, you can get R350 per annum added to your Pet Med Savings with the Pet Med Booster.
- The Hospital Plan (R190pm) doesn’t come with any day-to-day cover if you keep it as it is. This plan covers you for the small stuff. However, you can add R350 to your Pet Med Savings by adding Pet Med Booster as an added benefit for just R35pm.
- The Classic Plan (R280pm) has Pet Med Savings with R800 included in the plan. For R80, you can add on another R800, which will go far when it comes to those pesky routine care costs.
- The Super Plan, the one with all the bells and whistles, costs R430pm. Included in this plan is R900 in Pet Med Savings. For R90pm, you can add another R900.
