That means you have the freedom to go to ANY vet of your choice. You and Milo or Mittens can keep your favourite vet and don’t have to choose a new one when you sign up with us.

Unlike other insurers, we don’t limit you to a network of vets.
Many insurers will limit you to visiting one of the vets who are within their network, meaning that you may have to take your precious fur baby to someone new once you get pet insurance, even if they have been seeing your preferred vet for years! We keep it simple. No confusing terms. No vet network restrictions.

Here’s how it works
A “Vet Visit” refers to consultations, medication, pathology, radiology, and dentistry performed by a vet registered with the SA Veterinary Council. All treatment must meet the South African Veterinary Association protocols.
This means you can’t go to an unqualified relative or friend for treatment — even if they love animals. Whichever vet you choose to see, make sure that they are registered!

How to claim for vet visits
If your plan includes vet visits, we put cash in your pocket before you even get to the vet’s office. You read that right – we pay you BEFORE you even get to the vet. How great is that?
Here’s how it works.
When you join the Oneplan Pet Family, you get your very own Oneplan Claim Card. This works just like a debit card, except there usually aren’t any funds on your card… until you load a claim.
Here’s a simple breakdown of what to do:
- Log in to the Oneplan App
- Load a day-to-day claim for your pet
- Money is loaded onto your Oneplan Claim Card in as little as one minute
- Swipe your card at the vet
Your Oneplan Claim Card is like a smart debit card for Vet and Routine Visit claims. Just swipe at the vet, then send us a copy of the invoice (you can snap a picture and upload it in the app).
Here’s something important to know: If you load funds, but don’t use them, those funds will be withdrawn after 48 hours. This is to protect you from fraud or theft in case your card goes missing or is stolen. If you need to use these funday after they have been withdrawn, you will need to load a new claim. But don’t worry! Unused funds do not come out of your annual limit, only the funds you use do.
