You need to invest in your pet’s health, so why not go all the way?
For pet owners in 2025 and for the foreseeable decades ahead, hear what we have to say about accident and illness cover PLUS routine care for your pets:
You need pet insurance and excellent pet insurance, at that.
Are you a new pet parent who doesn’t fully understand the costs of pet care? Or are you a seasoned dog-lover who’s recently felt the sting of an unexpected vet bill and you don’t want to make the same mistake twice? Wherever you stand on the pet insurance scale, we have a plan for you (and we have one particular plan in mind which offers top-notch accident and illness cover).
The Oneplan way
Our policies are designed specifically to suit your unique budget and lifestyle. We never assume that any two pets are the same, so why wouldn’t your insurance be tail-o-made to you and your furry friend?
Our Pet Super Plan includes a ton of benefits that make caring for your pet so very easy, with routine care, accident and illness cover. The premium for this plan starts at R430pm.

Vet visits
If you’ve been a pet owner for a while you won’t need to be reminded about the ongoing vet costs. Bear in mind, your pet will need to visit the vet on a regular basis for the duration of its life. That’s what vets are there for: to help your pets live a long, healthy and comfortable life.
So, with the Super Pet Plan, you’re covered for R6 600 per annum for visiting the vet. You have four vet visits per year that are completely taken care of. You might be wondering why it’s necessary to have up to R1 650 cover per visit. Let us tell you: you never know what costs may pop up at the vet (or with your pet in general, actually).
You may think you’re taking Boxer for a routine check (consultation bill) only to find out he has a strange-looking lump that needs to be checked out (blood test bill). The vet would like to run some X-rays just in case (radiology bill). Suddenly you’re paying far more than your consult fee and you’re wondering if you can afford the necessary procedures.
Did we mention we pay you BEFORE you see the vet? Find out more about how that works here!
Routine care
Visiting the vet isn’t the only day-to-day cover we offer. Routine care is a fundamental part of looking after the health of your pet, so why not save yourself some money whilst doing it?
The Pet Super Plan covers up to R900 for routine care, which includes:
- Consultations for deworming, flea control
- Vaccinations for deworming and flea control
- Sterilisation
- Anal gland expression
- Teeth scaling and polishing
Speaking of the day-to-day, Oneplan Pet Super Plan members get up to 25% off ALL products in our Onepet Premium Pet Store. Read all about how to save money and shop conveniently for your pet at the place where fur parents shop.
Accident cover
Nobody likes to imagine their pet being involved in an accident. As a responsible pet parent, however, you need to have the foresight to protect your pet should something go wrong. An accident is when your pet has been physically harmed due to an unexpected incident and you will be covered if your pet requires emergency medical attention and has to be admitted.
With the Oneplan Super Plan, you have up to R58 000 per event for any accident cover you may need.

Illness cover
Having a sick pet is incredibly sad and you want to have the best options available to get them back to health. With up to R58 000 cover per event for illnesses that require treatment in hospital, the Pet Super Plan makes sure your pet can receive the excellent veterinary care that they deserve.
In our own insurance terms, “Illness” means any unforeseen sickness, illness or disease contracted, commencing or first presenting itself during the period of insurance – basically, something that develops AFTER your cover begins.
