How To Upload Your Pet Invoice

Calling all pet insurance policyholders - Need to upload a pet insurance invoice? Then keep reading for the step by step guide (it’s pawesome and super simple, we promise).

So, you took Bruno to the vet and have had your pet claim prepaid to you using the Onecard. No what?

Well, it’s simpler than you might think.

Before we get into it, if you’re not really into reading or in a rush to take your furry family member for a walk in the park, then check out this tutorial on the topic in video format (hint - it’s less than a minute long!)

Here’s what you need to do…

  1. Login to the Oneplan smartphone App
  2. Enter your policy number and password to login
  3. Click login
  4. Using the menu items, select what cover you want to manage (Oneplan Pet Cats & Dogs)
  5. From the menu items, select My Claims
  6. Select the claim that you want to upload an invoice for
  7. Take a photo of the invoice that you want claimed for - make sure you get the full page of the invoice in one photo frame
  8. Once your invoice upload is a success, then a message will pop up on your screen

And that’s it! You’re done. Pretty easy, right?

Why do I need to upload an invoice if Oneplan has already paid my claim?

That’s a valid point.

Simply put, we need you to upload your invoice after your vet visit so that we can see if the claim was valid and you really did visit the vet.

As much as we would love to fund the fun outings for you and your furry best friend, our pet insurance only covers medical healthcare.

What’s a Onecard?

Great question.

If you have a health or pet insurance policy with Oneplan, then we will send you a Onecard. All health insurance policyholders will receive one as each of our plans includes cover for doctor visits and day to day costs.

However, not all of our pet insurance policyholders need one. This is because our unique and simple Onecard system is only needed for day to day claims such as vet visits and routine care (in the case of pet insurance). If you do not have these benefits included in your plan, then you don’t need a Onecard. Does that make sense?

In any case, a Onecard is our simple and awesome claiming system that fronts you with cash before you visit the doctor or vet.

How to preload your claim with your Onecard

Before visiting your doctor or vet of your choice (because, as you know, we do not limit you to a specified network of healthcare providers), simply login to the Oneplan App, preload your claim and our claims department will automatically send you the required funds (according to your limits outlined in your policy) within a minute!

Our Onecard system encourages better preventive care

The reason why we created our Onecard claims system is so that you don’t have to wait until you can afford to see the vet. We get that private healthcare comes with a hefty cost.

Most pet insurers will only reimburse your claims within a week or two weeks after your vet visit. This system is claiming is outdated and does not put the needs of our clients first. And more importantly, the health of your precious pet.

We get that your furry loved ones are a part of your little family, which is why we know that you will do anything to ensure they get the care they need and deserve.

But sometimes, when Bruno looks a little unwell, you might put off seeing your vet in an attempt to save your bank account from the vet bills. Which means that Bruno’s health might get progressively worse, which can lead to more expensive vet bills later on.

Prevention is better than cure

When you have an insurer who pays you before you see the vet, then you are more inclined to visit your vet when you think something might be wrong with your pet or for regular preventive care check-ups such as tick and flea control and deworming (all of which we cover in some of our pet insurance plans). We even cover prescription medication, vaccinations, sterilisation and so much more.
