This one’s for all of our pawsome pet insurance policyholders! If you are looking for a simple guide to our claims process – you’ve just found it! So, bookmark this page and prepare to find out more about the easiest claims process … EVER!

Whenever something happens to your pet the only thing that should be running through your mind is where your nearest veterinarian is. However, as life would have it, your thought processes are a lot more complicated than that. Oftentimes once the slight panic has subsided, the panic creeps back in the moment you see the number of zeros at the end of the vet bill. Never mind the thoughts around figuring out how to log a claim!

It can all seem rather tedious, overwhelming and time-consuming.

But that panic ends today because you have the Oneplan team in your corner and we’ve kept things rather efficient! Especially when it comes to our claims processes. So, take a deep breath and forget about all of those long-winded claims processes that you’re used to. You’ve found us and this is where things take a turn for the better. You (and your fur baby) are in good hands now!

What is a claim?

Now if you are already familiar with this term, you can skip over to the next heading BUT we do encourage you to keep reading. It’s always in your best interest to make sure that we’re all working off of the same definitions. So, here’s our non-jargon heavy unpretentious definition of the term “claim”: It is a formal request by our policyholder (that’s you) to our company for the compensation for a covered policy event!

The smartest claims system in the game

When we say that this system is purr’fect – we really mean it.

Our team has worked tirelessly to create our unique smart claims system! Essentially when you join the Oneplan family (which we hope you do) you are immediately given a personalised Onecard.

This little card will become a welcomed addition to your wallet as it allows you to access funds BEFORE you see your vet of choice. We’re just quickly going to repeat that … VET OF CHOICE (yes, we’re saving you from the usual binding list of associated physicians – your pooch can go wherever they want to!)

We will then preload this card with the money that you will need to foot the bill and voila! You’re left with a happy pooch, a happy wallet and an even happier insurance company that was glad to be there for you and your furbaby in your time of need!

Additional claim system perks

If you are with Oneplan, you are going to have to get used to our team going over and above! It’s just what we do! So if you thought the benefits of this system ended there, then you’d be wrong because we’ve got a little more in store for you!

Routine care is covered in every single one of our plans and does not come at an additional cost. That’s right, it has already been calculated into your monthly premium. While other insurers may ask you to pay an additional amount, we truly prioritise preventative care which means ensuring that you and your pet have access to routine care with all the bells and whistles. This includes:

  1. Sterilisation
  2. Consultations for and/or vaccinations, deworming, flea control
  3. Anal gland expression
  4. Teeth scaling and polishing

So how do you claim?

Again, in true Oneplan fashion, we’re keeping things incredibly easy and convenient for you. In the midst of taking care of your pet following a visit to the vet, you shouldn’t have to deal with a lengthy process – and you don’t have to. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to the Oneplan smartphone App
  2. Enter your policy number and password to log in
  3. Click login
  4. Using the menu items, select what cover you want to manage (Oneplan Pet Cats & Dogs)
  5. From the menu items, select My Claims
  6. Select the claim that you want to upload an invoice
  7. Take a photo of the invoice that you want claimed for - make sure you get the full page of the invoice in one photo frame
  8. Once your invoice upload is a success, then a message will pop up on your screen

And that’s it! You’re done. Pretty easy, right?
